DESIGN
How does it all fit together? Architectural design is the process of synthesizing all of a projects aspects: program, site, poetic and cultural needs. The result is a built structure that is both functional and delightful. To find this form is the architects most difficult task, and it includes sketches and models and site visits and detailed drawings and a lot of time to search for solutions.
How shall we build it? This is the part most clients are
familiar with
the detailed drawings often called "blueprints."
Egan/Martinez
Design typically does more drawing
than many other architects, which helps clarify the proposed
construction and avoid conflicts during construction.
